Moong dal - 1 cup
Jaggery powder - 1 cup
Javvarisi – 1 cup soaked
Cashew nuts & Raisins - Few
Coconut - 2 tsp finely chopped
Water - 1 cup
Cardamom Powder – 1 pinch
Salt – 1 pinch
Preparation Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 20 min
In a pan add 3 tsp ghee roast the cashew nuts and raisins, Keep aside.
After add Coconut. Roast till golden brown and keep aside.
Add the moong dal. Roast till nice aroma emits. Fry in a low flame without burning the dals.
In a pan add water, roasted moong dal. Cook until dal turns soft.
After that add soaked javvarisi cook for 10 minutes and mix well.
Pour boiled milk and mix well. Then add a pinch of salt.
Add 1 cup of jaggery and stir well, until it dissolves completely.
Add a pinch of cardamom powder and mix well.
Finally add roasted cashew nuts, raisin and coconut bits. Mix well. Switch off the stove.
Paruppu payasam is ready. Serve and Enjoy.
