Millet Flakes - ½ cup
Sugar - ⅓ cup
Yellow or Orange food colour - ¼ tsp
Cardamom powder - ¼ tsp
Cashews - 6
Preparation Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 15 min
Wash millet flakes in water
Soak it in water for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes drain the excess water and Crumble the soaked millet flakes with fingers.
Heat ghee in a pan, fry cashews until golden brown, Keep it aside.
Now add soaked millet flakes in it and saute well in medium flame for a minute.
When the millet flakes look roasted and when a nice aroma is emitted add milk to it and give it a good stir.
Allow it to boil well stirring the mixture every now and then.
When the mixture looks semi solid add sugar and cardamom powder. Now mix it well.
Keep stirring and when the millet flakes mixture starts to leave the pan and has Halwa consistency add ghee and fried cashews to it and mix well.
Put off the flame and serve it hot.
