Did you know?
Tea didn’t start in India the British brought it in the 1800s while chasing China’s tea trade. They planted it in Assam and Darjeeling, and slowly it became part of our routine. We made it our own with milk, sugar, and spices and call it "Chai". Now it’s not just a drink, it’s how we survive mornings and sneak in breaks.
1 cup water
1–2 tsp tea powder
1–2 tsp sugar (adjust to taste)
Masala spices (ginger, cardamom, bay leaf, etc.)
Preparation Time: 5 min
Cooking Time: 10 min
In a saucepan, boil water with crushed spices. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to infuse the flavours.
Bring the milk to a boil in a separate pan.
Once boiled, set the milk aside.
Add tea powder to the spiced water and let it simmer for a minute.
Add sugar directly to the serving cup. Adjust to taste.
Strain the brewed tea and pour it into the cup with milk and sugar. Stir well.
Tip: The more you boil = the stronger the flavour (If you like your tea stronger).
Tip: Pour the tea from a height for a nice frothy finish.
Tea tastes even better when shared with some chit-chat and laughter. 😉
