Diamond Cut Biscuit

Blend flour, and butter. Cut into diamonds, deep-fry for crisp. Perfect tea-time treat.

Wheat flour or Maida - 1 cup

Ghee - 1 tsp

Water as required

Salt as required

Black pepper powder - 1 tsp

Asafoetida -¼ tsp

Butter as required

Oil - 1 tsp

Oil for frying as required

Preparation Time: 20 min

Cooking Time: 20 min


Sieve the flour well.

Add Salt, Pepper powder & Asafoetida.

Gradually add a little water and 1 tsp of oil, butter. Knead well into a Chapati dough consistency.

Add Ghee & Knead again.

Make small balls of the dough and roll them into medium sized chapatis.

Cut the chapatis into small diamond shapes and keep aside.

Heat Oil in a frying pan over medium flame.

Fry the diamond cuts till golden.

Remove & Drain excess oil

Serve as a snack or add them into the mixture.
