Ingredients

Curd - 1cup

Rice - 3tsp

Gram dhal - 3tsp

Green chili - 6 nos

Onion - 1 small size

Ginger - 1/2 inch piece

Coconut - 2 tsp ( grated)

Mustard seeds - 1tsp

Urad dal - 1tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Salt - As required

Oil - As required

Preparation Time: 10 min

Cooking Time: 20 min

Method

Beat the curd well until creamy and keep it aside.

In a pan add a teaspoon of oil once the oil is hot add rice, gram dhall, green chilli, ginger saute them for 2 minutes at low flame.

Now add onion and saute for 2minutes. Switch off the flame and add the grated coconut.

Grind the sauted masala to a thick paste by adding little water and turmeric powder.

Take a pan add oil put mustard, let it splutter. Now add urad dal once it's roasted add 1.5 cups of water.

Once the water starts boiling add the ground paste, required salt and mix well.

Let it cook for 4 to 5 mins in medium flame.

Let the gravy cools down a bit and add the beaten curd.

Garnish with coriander leaves.
