About Recipe

Did you know? The origins of cheese balls may be traced to Elder John Leland of Cheshire, Massachusetts in the early 1800s. He made a massive cheese ball that weighed 1,235 pounds and was meant to represent religious liberty and Republican patriotism.

Here is a simple recipe for delicious cheese balls that make a perfect evening snack for you and your family!

Ingredients

Rice flour - 2 cup

All-purpose flour - ⅓ cup

Baking powder - ½ tsp

Sugar - ¼ cup

Salt - 1 tsp

Butter - 20g

Hot water - 170ml

Mozzarella cheese - 100g grated

Cheese - 1 cup seasoning

Garlic powder - 1 tsp

Preparation Time: 60 min

Cooking Time: 20 min

Method

In a bowl, mix rice flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, butter and hot water. Knead the dough with your hand.

Divide the dough, then roll it and make it a round-shaped dough.

Cover the cheese ball dough with a wet towel to prevent the dough from drying out.

Weigh the mozzarella cheese about 6-8g each, then shape it to a round shape.

Now portion the dough into small balls. Roll them out and stuff the cheese balls into the dough.

Heat the cooking oil on low heat. When frying the cheese ball, the oil should not be too hot

Fry the cheese balls for about 3-5 minutes until nice and golden.

After the cheese ball is cooked, rest it on a cooling rack to remove excess oil.

Add the cheese seasoning and garlic powder.

Serve hot with any sauce and enjoy!
