1 Litre Milk Price Revision: Effective, 1 July 2026

If you're someone who depends on our 1 litre milk bottle every day, this note is for you.

From July 1, 2026, the price of our 1 litre milk bottle will be revised from ₹78 to ₹90.

We know this comes soon after our last note about the 500 ml bottle, and back then, we said clearly that there was no change to the 1 litre price. We meant that, and at the time, we genuinely believed it.

Why We Said That, and Why It's Different Now

When we revised the 500 ml price earlier this year, it wasn't a sudden decision. The economics of 500 ml had been difficult for us for a few years, quietly, in the background, and we kept absorbing it from our side for as long as we could. By the time we made that change, we simply had no other option left.

At that point, 1 litre was still working for us. The numbers held up, and we had no reason to believe that would change anytime soon.

But things have moved faster than we expected, and not just in the ways we usually talk about.

What's Really Going On Behind the Scenes

It's not just fuel and delivery costs this time, though those have gone up too.

What's been harder for us is something less visible: shortages and availability issues with raw materials on the sourcing side. Getting the same quality and quantity we need, consistently, every single day, has become a real challenge, and that has its own cost attached to it.

This isn't only Uzhavarbumi's problem. It's something the broader ecosystem is feeling right now. But we'd rather be honest with you about it than let it quietly affect quality or consistency without explanation.

We Know This Affects Your Life Too

We're aware that a price increase doesn't exist in isolation. Many of you are dealing with rising costs across everything, groceries, transport, and daily essentials, and adding more to that list is not something we take lightly.

At the same time, the people who source, process, and deliver your milk every morning are dealing with the exact same pressures in their own homes. Taking care of them and making sure they can continue to do this work with the dignity it deserves is part of why this revision is necessary now.

We're trying to make a decision that holds up for everyone in this chain, your family, our farmers, and our team, not just for one part of it.

A Promise We're Making

We know ₹12 more per bottle adds up over a month, and we don't take that lightly.

So here's what we want you to know: every rupee of this revision goes into making sure the milk in your bottle continues to be worth it, sourced responsibly, handled with care, and delivered fresh without compromise. We will ensure that every penny you spend with us continues to be worth it.

The Revised Price

Effective July 1, 2026, the price of our 1 litre milk bottle will move from ₹78 to ₹90.

Why This Matters Beyond the Price

Since the day we started Uzhavarbumi, our goal has been the same: to build a fair and transparent milk supply chain that connects farmers directly with consumers, while reducing plastic waste through bottled milk distribution.

Even with this revision, our price remains lower than many comparable products in the market. More importantly, this increase helps us ensure that farmers receive a fair share of the value they create and that our team members receive dignified wages for their work.
